Traveling North on the A23
Having proceeded in an almost straight line since the Coulsdon bypass, at Purley the A23 (Brighton Rd) turns 90 degrees to the left (at this point there is a large Tesco’s to the right side). After 100m the road turns sharply to the right with the Purley library on the right behind a small grassed section.  The road then widens to four lanes the left two marked “A23 London” and far right marked “A22 A23″ and the near right lane marked “A235″. Take the A235; cross the lights and The Clinic, No 16 Pampisford Rd is the first building on the right after the lights (it will appear as the image on the left at this point). It has several advertisements on it including “Purley Courtyard Clinic” in black on white writing low down over the car entrance tunnel, leading to the car parking and clinic in the courtyard. There are two parking spaces at the bottom on the left side of the courtyard.

Traveling North on the A22
The A22 (Godstone Rd/Purley Rd) passes under the main London to Brighton train line through a high arches bridge, there is then a large Tesco’s to the left and the town center to the right. Continue in straight and at one point (over a pedestrian underpass) the road will by 5 lanes. The left two marked “A23 Brighton” the right “A22″ and the central and close right marked “A23 London”. Take the A23 towards London. After 100m the road turns sharply to the right with the Purley library on the right behind a small grassed section.  The road then widens to four lanes the left two marked “A23 London” and far right marked “A22 A23″ and the near right lane marked “A235″. Take the A235; cross the lights and The Clinic, No 16 Pampisford Rd is the first building on the right after the lights, (it will appear as the image on the left at this point). It has several advertisements on it including “Purley Courtyard Clinic” in black on white writing low down over the car entrance tunnel, leading to the car parking and clinic in the courtyard. There are two parking spaces at the bottom on the left side of the courtyard.

Traveling South on the A23
After IKEA and then PC world the A23 (Purley way) crosses 5 ways, some smaller retain areas, the old aerodrome (with a plane on display on the right) and passed up the ridge through Roundshaw open space, with grass on both sides of the road for some distance. There is a set of traffic lights at the top of the ridge and the road then starts to descends narrowing to one lane at one point. At this point move to the left and turn left at the next traffic lights. Immediately as you turn left at the lights the Clinic is directly opposite you (it will appear almost as the image on the left at this point). It has several advertisements on it including “Purley Courtyard Clinic” in black on white writing low down over the car entrance tunnel, leading to the car parking and clinic in the courtyard. There are two parking spaces at the bottom on the left side of the courtyard.

By Train

Take the train to Purley station (there is a fast service from Victoria at peak hours to Horsham). Otherwise take the first train to East Croydon and change. At Purley station come out of the main entrance, cross the quadrangle turning right onto Whytecliffe Rd, heading down the hill to the A22 Purley Rd. Turn right staying on the right side of the A22, you should see the large Tesco’s on the other side of the Rd. Continue across the cross roads with the Brighton Rd on the right side of the Rd. There is a Pizza Express on the far right corner of the cross roads. At the next junction keep to the pavement on the right side turning right as you do so, there is a disused unit on the corner, which has a forecourt. You should now be at the beginning of Pampisford Rd and the Clinic is the first building on the right side, (it will appear as the image on the left at this point). It has several advertisements on it including “Purley Courtyard Clinic” in black on white writing low down over the car entrance tunnel, leading to the car parking and clinic in the courtyard area.

By Plane

The best airport by far is Gatwich, since Purley station is situated on the London to Gatwich main line. After this Heathrow is the next easiest, although we recommend a taxi from the airport as the alternative is to go into London and out again, usually via Victoria. Luton is north of London and we are south, however the main line rail runs directly south through London to Croydon that is the main line station a little north of Purley. From Stanstead you will have to go through London, do consider a bus as they go directly to Victoria coach station that is close to Victoria rail station from where you can take a train and avoid crossing central London.

Remember from the outside the UK Orthotropic clinic is housed in a very unimpressive building.
